PTM // Packing Issues…

Anybody that knows me, knows that I’m going to have some major issues when it comes to deciding what to pack for my trip. Put it this way… the average girl would shed a tear after seeing my wardrobe and shoe collection. Call me what you want but I’ll be the first one to admit that I share the same characteristics of a woman when it comes to my clothing and shoe obsession.

After researching this topic over the last couple of months, it seems that everyone recommends packing super light. And when I say light, I mean LIGHT. Most resources recommend that you pack about 1.5 weeks of clothing for a trip lasting between 1-3 months. The infamous world traveler Rick Steve’s says to “limit yourself to 20lbs in a carry-on-size bag”. Yikes!

I guess my problem is simply that I’ve never learned how to wear the same clothes for more than a few hours in a day without changing my outfit. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating a little. But really, I wear an outfit to work, come home, change into something else, and then change into another outfit before leaving the house to go out for the night. Well, I guess this is one of many obstacles that I’ll encounter and have to overcome on my trip…
