PTM // InterRail Trip brewing…
It’s not official as of yet, but theres a 99.9% chance that I’ll be joining my cousin Michelle (from Galway, Ireland) and friends on an InterRail trip that she’s planning for the dates of June 28, 2008 through the 14th of July 2008. The current itinerary is as follows:
DEP: Dublin, Ireland to Munich, Germany: 6/28/08
ARR: Dublin, Ireland: 7/13/08 OR 7/14/08
Various stops along the way…
- Munich, Germany
- Bratislava, Slovakia
- Vienna, Austria
- Krakow, Poland
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Berlin, Germany
- Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Leuven, Belgium
- Fly home from: Charleroi/Brussells/Amsterdam
Unfortunately, I’ll be missing out on the first few stops of this InterRail trip (Munich, Bratislava, and Vienna) due to absolute exhaustion. When Liz & I arrive back in Dublin on June 25 fresh off a week in Croatia, I’ll have been on the road for almost 45 days straight! So with that, I’ve decided to set aside a week for rest, relaxation, and showing Liz around Dublin before she heads back to the states. On July 2nd, I’ll fly out to Krakow to meet up with my cousin and I’ll be spending 2 weeks traveling through Europe by train. Phew!
As you can see above, at this point of my trip I will already have visited a couple of the places that are on our list of destinations. I’m sure it will be nice to get back to a few of the places for a second time around, especially that I’ll be with my cousin and friends that are all around the same age as myself. Some of the destinations listed above that I will not have been to yet and I’m really excited to see are Krakow, Berlin, Leuven, and Brussells!
If there was one thing that I’m really looking forward to on my trip, it’s to travel and spend time with my cousin Michelle. This will be one of the best highlights of my trip for sure. I can’t promise I’ll be able to keep up with the Irish when it comes to drinking, and pub hopping, but I sure can make an attempt…

Your post reminded me of my own trip to Prague. The picture I like the most is defiantly the 4th. I have been in Prague for 2 weeks, I absolutely loved. I was there with my friends. During the day we went to visit what the guide told us to: )
I found the city beautiful, like a fairytale land, the towers, the castles, the cathedrals…
I also was nicely surprised by the place we slept in I’ll leave you here a very good site of Prague hotels, they are cheap and very pleasant.
This year I was to do an Interrail too, I want to go to Spain and Italy. I know it wont be easy but that’s much nicer and cheap then planes or cars: ) I admire who has the courage to do it…I haven’t got it …yet
