PTM // Four Weeks until Departure…

March 22nd, 2008 by Ryan

Four more weeks until Pause The Moment REALLY goes LIVE!

To think that I have four more weeks left is… CRAZY! I can remember back when I had 30 weeks left! Most people have asked me if the time has flown since I booked my ticket, and the answer is NO. It seems that the time couldn’t have passed any slower. I feel like I’ve been waiting for this trip for a lifetime now.

Below you’ll get a little insight on what I’ll be doing over the course of the next four weeks, and what I’ll be doing IN four weeks.

Four more weeks of…

  • Sleeping in my comfy bed
  • Listening to my dog bark
  • Using my 40″ Flat Panel TV as a giant computer monitor
  • Hanging out with the Family
  • Watching Intervention with Liz
  • Going out with Eddie for Town Spa and drinks at the 9’s
  • A fast internet connection
  • Living in good ol’ Bridgewater
  • Packing
  • Checking off a full page of things I need to do before I leave
  • Driving my car before I take it off the road
  • Saying my Goodbye’s
  • Getting in touch with my friends before I leave
  • Making sure I don’t forget anything
  • Hanging out with my closest friends
  • Being a homebody
  • The USA (temporarily of course)
  • Hearing President Bush tell me that we’re winning in Iraq
  • Listening to 96.9 FM Talk
  • Living in a big spacious room with my own bathroom
  • Home cooked dinners
  • Watching the US Economy push closer towards recession
  • Lounging with my dog Jack
  • Going to the gym
  • Watching the Dollar skyrocket vs. the Euro
  • Telling everyone how excited I am to take this trip
  • Checking my email every 3 seconds
  • Saving my money
  • Hearing the infamous Nextel 2-Way beep
  • Eating at Gennaro’s, Italian Kitchen, Town Spa, and Chessmans

Four more weeks until…

  • I begin the “Trip of a Lifetime”
  • I depart Logan International Airport
  • I get to have a slice of Brennan’s Bread
  • I arrive in Galway, Ireland
  • I start spending Euros
  • I see some of my many relatives that I haven’t seen in years
  • Reality sets in…
  • I enjoy my first Irish Breakfast in a long time
  • My 24th Birthday!
  • I start to miss my family, and friends
  • I begin a journey to over 25 cities and 15 different countries
  • I sign off of AIM for more than a few hours
  • Take my first vacation since December of 2006
  • I get to take a stroll around Eyre Square in Galway, Ireland
  • I have somewhat limited access to Internet and Email
  • I hear a thick Irish Accent
  • I get to taste Irish Chocolate again
  • I start to meet new friends from around the world
  • I start using my cell phone to “text” people instead of call
  • I begin to watch my bank account drain
  • I drop my suitcase and start traveling with a backpack
  • I spend some time in the country… and I mean COUNTRY

Well, until next time…
