Oh you guys are doing everything you should be in Dahab man! Great negotiating too, here, in Egypt everything is negotiable as you know by now. We live in New Cairo, like 20 minutes from the Cairo airport. Dahab is our FAVORITE place not only in Egypt but of all the world. We are actually planning a drive down, 6 hours or so, soon- as the lagoon, "our spot" has been calling me. Great blog I am so happy you found Dahab! Have you found Arosa al Baar yet? Fish restaraunt there in Dahab, very good, big portions, and reasonable. Not on the water but in just in the middle of town towards the fountain. You have to try it, its our spot when we go. Any tips you need while you are here in Egypt drop me a line, but it looks like you guys are so set as it is. Happy trails and enjoy loungin' in Dahab guys.
