Behind the Photo: “Living on the Edge…”
Tweet![]()
Back in 2004 we took a family trip out to Arizona to visit Tucson, Tempe, Scottsdale, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon. Looking back, it was one of the best family vacations we have ever taken. Besides our trip to Death Valley, of course!
Once we arrived in the parking lot of the Grand Canyon I said to myself… “Where’s the Grand Canyon?” It’s funny because when you pull up, there’s just trees that surround an open lot. At least that was the case for the lot that we parked in.
I jumped out of the car in excitement to see my first official natural wonder of the world! As I peeled through some trees and brush, there it was. A gigantic hole in the earth full of plants, wildlife and a million shades of red, brown, and black.
No words or photos can actually describe the Grand Canyon itself. It’s truly something that has to be seen in person. If you haven’t personally been to the Grand Canyon, I highly suggest you add it to your bucket list!
