Travel Gear Review: The Go Caddy

Recently, I was contacted by BVT Products, maker of The Go Caddy. They were wondering if I’d be interested in testing and reviewing their latest product so I jumped at the chance to do so. If you know me by now, you should know I love all things that are travel related, especially travel gear!

The Go CaddyWhat is The Go Caddy?

The Go Caddy is a small, durable, over the shoulder travel tote bag with a built in water bottle holder.

Design

As you can tell, The Go Caddy wasn’t designed to look like the latest handbag from Coach and that’s a good thing! The last thing you want to do when traveling is to have all of your personal possessions stuffed in a bag that sticks out and screams…“Please Mug Me!”

On the other hand it’s not such a bad looking travel bag either. Hell, it’s a lot better looking than any fanny pack you’ll see on the road that’s for sure.

The outer material is made from a durable, yet comfy feeling Microfiber which makes it flexible and rugged enough for any weather or terrain. The inner water bottle pocket is lined with a grippy rubber material which works well for keeping your water bottle from shifting around and spilling while you carry it around.

Go Caddy Front

Front:

The front side of the bag has a deep pocket with a strong Velcro closure. The main pocket is large enough to hold your Passport, Cruise Ship Pass, Credit Cards, Money, ID, and more. There’s also a small hideaway pocket inside as well which allows you to store any small valuables that you have with you.

Back:

The back side of the GoCaddy has a  elasticized pouch that will work perfectly for storing a map, mobile phone, compact camera and even a pair of sunglasses.

Conclusion:

The Go Caddy surprised me with all of it’s great features. It’s truly not what I originally expected it to be and it’s everything that I would want in an over the shoulder travel bag.

Not only does the Go Caddy have enough pockets to store all your most important documents, it also holds your water bottle, your keys, and even has that back pocket that’s large enough to carry your compact camera, mobile phone and sunglasses.

The only thing I think that the Go Caddy is missing is a small rubber piece on the strap. This rubber piece would allow the bag to comfortably sit on your shoulder instead of having the weight of the bag (when full) to rely just on the strap material. I imagine over time that the bare strap may bother your shoulder a bit. Other than that the Go Caddy rocks in my book. If you’re looking for a new over the shoulder travel/day bag for your next trip, I highly recommend you pick one of these up! At only $19.99, you really can’t go wrong.

Product Rating: (1-10): 8
