With CordCruncher, you can now store your headphones tangle free with a quick stretch of a cord!

How It Works
The idea is simple, yet genius. CordCruncher headphones are wrapped in a stretchy latex sleeve that allows you to extend your cord to the length you need. When fully extended, the CordCruncher headphones open to a length of 42 inches.

When finished, you place your two fingers on the headphone jack, while you grab the hard foam piece on the upper part of the sleeve near the ear buds and pull. Instantly your cord shortens to the storage length of 16 inches.

What’s even cooler about CordCruncher is that when you’re finished with them, you can take the headphone jack and plug it into the hole at top of the sleeve where the earbuds come out as shown above.
Your headphones can be worn around your neck or you can double up the CordCruncher and wear it on your wrist. How convenient!

Conclusion
I’m going to be honest here and tell you that CordCruncher is quite possibly one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen in a long time. I’ve been dealing with the annoyances of tangled headphones for years and finally someone has invented something to make my music listening experience that much easier and stress free.
Why it has taken so long for someone to come up with a solution to the annoyance of tangled headphones is beyond me.
The only negative thing I can say about the CordCruncher at this point is that it’s not interchangable with other types of headphones. When you purchase the CordCruncher, you get a pair of standard earbuds wrapped in the CordCruncher latex sleeve. Do not mistake this product as a sleeve that you buy to put over your headphones.

To answer your question regarding the potential “aftermarket” use of the technology …making a sleeve that will fit over existing headphones.
Due to the countless headphone configurations on the market that include split protectors, different phono-plug housing diameters, and inflexible cord insulation, the elastic sleeve cannot be used as an aftermarket solution to cord storage. We will market the sleeve technology to other headphone companies…so if you or your readers like the storage and variable cord length features offered by the CordCruncher… Bang on the door of your favorite headphone companies to contact us.

Finally! I’ve been having issues with my headphones for years – as you said, when I didn’t use them, they flew in a pocket and were on the right path to slow destruction. I’ve changed many pairs of these little devils because the wire inside them broke, but I feel that with the cordcruncher this will not be an issue anymore. Thankfully the skullcandy earbuds will not be a problem – I’m used to all shapes and sizes, as long as I get to hear my favorite music/audio book. Thanks for this post Ryan, can’t wait to get my hands on one of these little marvels!
My headphones always end up in numerous knots at the bottom of my gym bag, which forces me to spend the first 5-10 minutes of a workout trying to untangle them. These would give me more time to focus on my workout and less frustration with the untangling process!

It is one of those little problems that we face every day, simple but really annoying.
Don’t buy Cordcrunchers headphones. Mine arrived broken and with the wrong contact info. I cannot get the company to replace the product or even contact me. Steer clear!!!
