Last week, Courtyard by Marriott contacted me regarding a giveaway of a two-night stay at one of five hundred newly renovated Courtyard by Marriott properties across the United States.
The reasoning behind this giveaway is that Courtyard will be celebrate a huge milestone for the brand – 500 Courtyard hotels will be renovated as of April 23, 2012!

Courtyard by Marriott believes business travelers deserve options in their travel as well as a contemporary and smart place to recharge. Today, the iconic power brand announced that 500 of its properties, nearly 60 percent of its portfolio in North America, has undergone the innovative Refreshing Business renovation that features convenient Bistros, award-winning GoBoards®, and revitalized space that provide guests with an open area to relax instead of just a place to pass through. By the end of 2012, it is expected three-quarters of the more than 800 domestic Courtyard hotels in the U.S. and Canada will offer the refreshed lobbies.
The 55-inch virtual concierge GoBoard® LCD touch screen is packed with current weather, local news, and business and sports headlines from USA Today. Guests can navigate the touch screen to find restaurants, download QR codes for local attractions and even print directions from lobby printers. The lobbies also feature a Bistro dining option that gives guests the choice to sit and relax or “grab and go”. All menu items include calorie counts that allow guests to maintain a healthy lifestyle on the road. The Bistro also serves Starbucks coffee and offers a selection of domestic and imported beers, wine and cocktails.

I deserve to win because my daughter, Penelope, just turned one years old. My husband and I have not done anything for ourselves in this year! Our focus and energy has gone into our daughter! We could use a quick break of alone time and nice sound sleep on a great bed in a Marriot hotel! I would pick the St. Pete Clear Water location or the Orlando Downtown FL location. We have family in Florida, meaning we would have a babysitter for our over night stay!!! PICK ME PICK ME!
I would go to the Courtyard Key West Waterfront! I deserve to win because I desperately want to go to Key West for a long weekend and after my recent trip to Spain have little travel funds available! We should all be able to travel as much as you!!

So I LOVE to travel, but money of course is always a factor- and more often then not its a limiting one. I recently started a new job as a public relations director and coordinator of a girls summer camp. The camp, Rosie’s Girls, is a camp that makes it it’s mission to help young girls in disadvantaged communities build self-esteem through learning and exploring STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) activities. Although this has been an amazing and rewarding experience, putting together this camp from the ground up (literally- we built the main buildings) has been exhausting! I’m ready to do some learning and exploring of my own- through traveling! Something like this would be a great kick start to an awesome adventure! As for where I would potentially use it- I’m thinking sun sun sun! Florida sounds great to me on this raining Tuesday morning :)

What a nice thing to do! Haven’t been anywhere since 2005. Went through a diffucult divorce lost 2 jobs continue to be unemployed. Life goes on. A couple of days somewhere other than here would be wonderful. A dear friend just died a couple of days ago which has left a void in my life. I would be happy, staying at the Marriot which I have done before even if was in the next town! :-)
I would use it toward a girl’s weekend getaway with my aunt Kathy, who is currently battling cancer. She’s like a second mom to me, and I went on my first European trip with her…she’s always supported my desire to travel! I’ve been living on the other side of the world from her and will be going home this summer to visit–it would be so nice to surprise her with this. We’d use it to stay at the Courtyard Portland City Center.

Hi Ryan, Thank you for the opertunity to win a two night stay at one of wonderful Courtyard Marriotts. If I am selected, I plan to go to the Key West Courtyard Marriott! Planning a boys weekend in New Orleans and really need a place to crash. Debating staying outside the city to save a few bucks, but come on… we really need to be in stumbling distance. This hotel is right in heat of things! Come on help a few guys out! Bourbon Street is calling!

Always enjoy your website. Each morning the kids and I would look forward to following your adventures in South Africa. The pictures, videos and commentary were so inspiring and educational. We would love to take a trip to the nation’s capitol….Washington D.C. My fondest memories as a child were visiting there with my mom and siblings on a few occasions. So much to see and so much to learn! My children at age 13, 11 and 8 are the perfect age to appreciate all that the capitol has to offer. We have not been on a vacation since 2008….we are due for some quality family time!
Awesome giveaway! I would use it to book 2 rooms in Boston for my family when we stay there after a cruise in June. Finding a hotel downtown would mean we’d be able to easily get out and explore the city, which I definitely want us to do. There are 7 Courtyard hotels to choose from in/around Boston, so we’d have plenty of options!

I would use the 2 days at the Key West Waterfront. My friend and I have known each other since the 2nd grade (50 years). We still love to hang out together, but, we have never taken a trip together. We are both from Miami and now live on the west coast in the Tampa Bay area. We live about 70 miles from each other but, only manage to get together a few times a year. A trip to the Keys would be awesome for us girls to get away and hang. We will send updates and pics to you just so you can have a good laugh.

I have no particular need for two nights in a swanky hotel. My girlfriend Emilie, however, needs them more than anyone I know. Emilie and I have been living with her sister in Santa Clara because she has late-stage colon cancer. Emilie has been working like crazy taking care of her sister during chemo and basically raising her sister’s two children. She could really use a break.
April 10th was Emilie’s birthday, and we weren’t able to get away to do anything more than a nice dinner because of her responsibilities here. In a couple of weeks Emilie’s other sister is coming to visit and we will be able to get away for a couple of days. I would like nothing more than to take her to the Courtyard San Jose and use the money that I saved by not having to get the room (I’m not a rich man) on pampering her with whatever she likes; room service, spa treatment, whatever. That is why I’d really like to win the two nights stay. I think I’d put them to very good use.

There are some really great responses that will definitely be hard to top! We’d LOVE a 2-night stay a Courtyard Marriott because for the last year we’ve been nomads, shuffling ourselves from hotel to hotel and parent’s house to parent’s house. We’d love the chance to be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy our very own space.
Which property would we choose? Whatever one you’re going to, of course! Kidding… maybe. We’d probably have to choose the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Denver, CO. We’re planning on roadtripping ourselves to TBEX this year and would love to be able to explore Denver while there.

I would stay at the Courtyard in Amherst New York. After 8 years in the military, I am finally being discharged this Friday, April 27th! I am very excited to begin a new career in the civilian world! Starting Friday I am traveling across the country all the way from Monterey California to Washington, D.C. I will see many friends and family along the way. Some I haven’t seen in years!
Amherst is the one part of my journey that I will be staying in a regular hotel as opposed to staying with family, friends, or on a military base hotel. It is right outside of Buffalo.

Hi there! I’d use the gift certificate in Seattle for my mother’s 65th birthday. We are going on a family vacation to celebrate and would like to spend a couple of days in Seattle after the Alaskan cruise. This is a dream vacation for her! We only went on car trips as kids! Wow, I would be up for going anywhere! I live in NY so would prefer outside of NY! Maybe Arizona, California,Colorado, Minnesota (to visit my sister), Georgia…the past 8 months has been really hard on my husband and I. we both are in th process of recuperating from major surgeries..both been out from work. He is at half pay and I am at no pay (no benefits at my job)…we surely could use a nice get away!

I’d love to visit the Courtyard Atlanta Midtown/Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s a great location and would love to travel to Georgia in May to visit friends.
