What Are Your Travel Plans for 2011?
Another year, another adventure! I want to know what YOUR travel plans are for 2011? If we all share our plans, we may be able to find others who we will be crossing paths with somewhere along the way.

I’m thinking I’ll base myself in Tirana and spend a few months travelling around the Balkans. Might head there in March or April. Would love to meet up with other travellers in the region.
Very interesting plans you've got there!
Might have to check it out! Im in Bulgaria right now. Albania isnt that far. Gotta love the distances in Europe.

Hitting up Africa then from there who knows. I want to visit countries that no ones goes to and eat foods that send my stomach down spiral staircases while sipping on strong ales.

Stop Having a Boring Life. What a great name for a travel site. Rob, you're the man. You are the only person I know that will eat literally anything knowing that you will be sick later on and you have no issues with that. You're too funny man. It's been great being your neighbor for the last month. Enjoy your future travels and I hope to meet up with you again soon.
Yes yes, hope you are liking Egypt, round 2.
Sri Lanka is awesome so far.
Tips hat, good sir.
P.S: My stomach hurts.
My recent post Hello From Paradise- Arugam Beach
Of course I am. Egypt rocks! Sounds like you're having a ball over there in Sri Lanka. Hopefully we'll cross paths again soon.
If everything goes well, we'll start our around the world trip in April 2011.
First stop: Colombia!!
Anybody's heading down there around the same time?

I'm going to try living somewhere in the UK (Edinburgh, Liverpool, Brighton) and spend a weekend in Prague

Nice! I like the idea of stopping in a place and settling down for a bit. I just did that in Thailand and I enjoyed it so much. A weekend in Prague is perfect! Such a beautiful city. Do yourself a favor and take one of the free walking tours. They're very informative!
I'm getting married in Argentina and then honeymooning in Brasil! :)

Congratulations :-)

2001 is going to be an awesome year for me! Starting with a 2 month trip back to Central America where I'll visit El Salvador and Nicaragua for the first time. Then later in the year I will take a short cruise to the Cayman Islands. In early summer I'll hopefully be either starting a long backpacking trip through Europe or just moving to London! Either way, Europe or bust for me :)

2 months in C.America sounds perfect. Not too long, not too short. I like your idea of traveling in spurts rather than long term. I hope to be able to do something similar next year.
Staying somewhat local: California and BC are on my list (but then again so are Baffin Island and Southeast Asia — dreams, I has them! =)
My recent post BC was awesome Now what
Staying local is always good too! There's so many local places that I haven't been to and that are just waiting for me to explore. You may inspire me to travel local a little bit next year!
I can't believe how fast this year has gone… and even more unbelievable is the fact we haven't gone overseas for over 12 months! But that's what happens when you're saving for long-term travel.
In summer 2011, we'll be leaving Australia and heading to LAX (possibly via New Zealand, Hawaii or some of the South Pacific islands). From there we'll be slowly crossing North America and from there we could be in either Europe or Central/South America but undecided at the moment.
Hoping to cross paths with several travel bloggers during our time in the US/Canada and learn a thing or two. :)
My recent post Two steps guaranteed to help you save money for traveling
Yes, you're right. You must save in order to have the freedom to travel the world. That's for sure!
Starting our backpacking trip from Mexico to Argentina… unless we get called away to another opportunity. :P
My recent post Progress Report- Nov 2010
Now this is a plan! Sounds like so much fun. Can I come with you? :)
Madagascar, Hong Kong, and Iceland…
All of the above sound very interesting. I've never been to any of those places. I've always wanted to check out Iceland though.
January 15th see's us fly from London Heathrow to Beijing for the first stop of our 9 month trip. We'll be visiting China, Japan, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, USA & Canada. To finish off with a deserved break in the Cayman Islands with some friends from Uni.
To be honest, we can't wait and would happily go today if we had the money, but, still a couple of months work & saving to do.
Wow, congratulations John & Jemma! Work hard, to play hard! Enjoy your trip and safe travels…
I'm planning to visit two old travel friends, one in Denver and one in Sydney. Two places I have never been before so I am really looking forward to it! I love the look of your blog and look forward to reading more posts!

Denver and Sydney are two cities that I've also never had the chance to visit. Both are appealing to me as well. Good luck and thank you for the feedback!
In March I'm moving to India for a year. I'll be working/volunteering and my plan is to travel around the country quite a bit – and visit at least two neighbouring countries while I'm there.

Moving to India for a year!? Wow, good for you. Good luck!
Going to school means my traveling is limited. But I will likely be going to Mexico for my cousin's wedding in May. And in June I'm going to go to Vancouver for TBEX.
My recent post Mexico
That's okay! Sometimes studying has to come first. As long as you follow your travel dreams and goals you WILL achieve them. Enjoy Mexico!
Next year we're going to do a two-week driving trip in Malaysia and take a two-week trip to Australia for a wedding in Adelaide (he-lo wineries!). We're going to explore our new base of Singapore and prepare for our RTW location independent lifehack journey, which should kick off in May 2012. It seems so far away but I get butterflies thinking about it. The baby will be two-and-a-half when we set off!
Wow, congratulations guys! I am really looking forward to following you. Can you provide the url to your website for us? Thanks!
Doing a RTW trip starting with Ireland in June 2011. Me and my 9 y/o son.
My recent post Doing a Dry Run
Sounds excellent. My mother was born in Dublin and my fathers brother lives in Galway which means I've visited there a trillion times. I actually have dual citizenship thanks to my mother. Dublin still remains one of my favorite cities in the world!
Leaving for Germany in April 2011, will probably wander around the surrounding countries while I'm in the area. I plan on being there for at least 6 months.
My recent post Delays- delays- delays
Sounds like a nice break!
Hoping to leave Seoul and finally start my long-term RTW in autumn 2011.

2011 is going to be a great year! First half is all about finishing up university and graduating whilst doing as much saving as possible.
Then at the start of July, the real fun begins with a one way flight to Beijing and then having the world at my feet! I plan to spend the second half of 2011 in SE Asia seeing a part of world that has always fascinated me with maybe ending the year in Australia or New Zealand for the Rugby World Cup!

25th April I fly from Heathrow to Sydney where my adventure begins! I’m hoping to visit plenty of Australia, NZ, Fiji and beyond. Where I end up, I have no idea; just going with the flow. Initially travelling for 12 months, as I have a wedding to come back to in the UK, but I’m sure I’ll be off again after that!

Wow, congratulations Laura! Good luck on your big trip!
For me,this year, it’s Venizia in the beginning of september and in the beginning of july, go in Corsica – France. I’m French.
Hi Ryan,
Great blog. I’ve been following it closely especially since our RTW trip is going to start in Egypt like yours did.
Our trip is to start from September and i can hardly wait! :)
We plan to travel across Asia from middle east to south east for about a year.
Look forward to reading more about your adventures!
That combination of photos looks lovely! I’d love to visit any of those places, especially Egypt or Thailand.
I’m a teacher, so I tend to think of the year as starting on Labor Day weekend, not January 1st. I am planning to spend this year revisiting most of the places I went last year, to see if I can do a better job the second time around.
So, on the agenda are: Philadelphia, the Hudson River Valley, Brazil, New Orleans, Orlando, Puerto Rico, and France. I hope I’ve learned enough this past year to keep improving as a traveler.
well with all the crisis that gooes on in Europe i may be able to go to Italy…..by car…..;)
