FRESH* SHEETS APARTMENT ZAGREB REVIEW
Fresh Sheets Apartment in Zagreb is a newly renovated, fully furnished and beautifully decorated one bedroom apartment located smack dab in the middle of Zagreb city centre.
Our recent two-night stay at Fresh Sheets had us wanting to extend our stay an extra month or two. In fact, if we had visited in the summer and the weather was a little warmer, we might have done so. From it’s incredible location, to the layout, the high ceilings and more. We simply couldn’t get enough of this place.
Here’s an in-depth review and insiders look at Fresh Sheets Apartment Zagreb.
As soon as you enter the apartment, you’re met with bright decor, a funky looking lamp, glass shelves built into the wall and a small table and chairs which is used as a dining area. While we cooked and dined here a few times, we primarily used this as our workspace during our stay.
Just as you enter the apartment, on your left you’ll see a bicycle (or at least we did). The only problem is that we’re a couple traveling together so one bike doesn’t cut it for us. Then again, we probably could’ve squished Liz into the basket and cruised around the city! (kidding)
In saying that, we didn’t expect this place to have a bike in the first place, so it was no big deal for us and we don’t expect Jon and Sanja to add another one to the mix just because of us. On the other hand, if you’re a single person staying here, having a bicycle to cruise around with couldn’t be any cooler!
Turn the corner from the entrance and just across from the kitchen you’ll find a small living room area equipped with a three-seater couch, a decent sized LCD televison, rocking chair and even a vintage mannequin that you can play dress up with (if you’re into that sort of thing).
Oh, the kitchen! Have we mentioned how much we love having a kitchen when we travel? We really enjoy cooking when we’re on the road so it only makes sense that we’re obsessed with short-term aparment rentals with fully equipped kitchens.
When we say that this kitchen had everything you could ever possibly need in a kitchen, we mean it. From a four-burner stove top, to an oven, microwave, plates/dishes/cups, cutting boards, a whole slew of cooking/eating utensils, tea kettle, blender, counter top juicer and even items such as olive oil, spices, tea bags, chips, snacks, and more.
The bedroom was located just past the kitchen and living room area and could be separated if you choose to close the tall double doors leading to it.
Inside, you’ll find a plush and super comfortable queen-size bed, a very cool looking vintage lamp, a small work desk, large wardrobe and bedside furniture that matches perfectly with the modern white wood flooring.
One of the best features about the bedroom is the tall ceilings and matching tall windows that go along with it. All it takes is a quick slide of the curtains and the turn of a window latch to brighten up the room with all the natural light you could ever ask for.
The air-conditioning is located in the bedroom, although we never found the need to use it due to the time of year that we visited Zagreb.
If you’re the type that enjoys staying right in the city centre, then look no further than Fresh Sheets. This place is literally 30 seconds from Ban Jelačić Square, also known as Zagreb’s city centre. Here, you can find a variety of shops, restaurants, pharmacies, grocery stores, and just about anything else you could ever need including the main Tourist Information Center (TIC).
If you arrive by train, you’ll enjoy the fact that Fresh Sheets Zagreb is just a little over a half mile from the main train station in Zagreb (Glavni kolodvor).

If you’re looking for a comfortable, spacious, and centrally located short-term apartment rental that feels like a home away from home, look no further than Fresh Sheets Zagreb. As we stated above, we enjoyed our stay so much that we didn’t want to leave. There were numerous occasions that we looked at each other and said, “I could live in this place…”
Highlights include the fully equipped kitchen which wasn’t just built with a short-term renter in mind, it was built for someone to live in, and we loved that about it. Also, we thought that offering a free bicycle as a part of the stay was such a great idea!
Overall, we would highly (HIGHLY) recommend you stay at Fresh Sheets during your next visit to Zagreb. We sure know where we’ll be staying on our next visit!
