We enjoy spending time in Koh Lanta for a variety of reasons. One of them being that we love trying out some of the rapidly growing selection of delicious restaurants popping up all over the island.

Noon Sunset View Point Restaurant - Koh Lanta, Thailand

Tonight’s dining destination; Noon Koh Lanta Restaurant. Noon is conveniently located high up on the coastline just south of Kantiang Bay. As you can imagine, the promises of an amazing sunset view over dinner and drinks is what drags most folks here.

The fabulous sunset dining wasn’t the only thing that appealed to us when it came to dining at Noon. It was also for the fact that they offer free pick-up/drop-off service to all of it’s patrons at just about any hotel in the area.

All you need to do is make a quick call ahead to secure a reservation and they will come grab you from your hotel and return you on a full stomach. No need to worry about driving after a few glasses of their Pinot Noir, Rosé, or Sauvignon Blanc.

The pick-up/drop-off service came in extremely handy as our friends Mike and Araseli chose not to rent motorbikes while on the island due to the dangers of driving here.

After a quick call to Noon Koh Lanta Restaurant, their taxi had arrived and whisked them off in search of a sunset and a tasty dinner.

Liz and I chose to take our motorbike to dinner so we followed along closely behind.

Once we arrived to Noon Lanta Restaurant, we were greeted by our friendly host and shown to our table for four located on an elevated terrace overlooking the Andaman Sea below.

We chatted over super refreshing lime sodas and mojitos as the sun began to crawl towards the horizon.

The breeze was blowing as our hunger increased. Finally, it was time to dine.

I went with the grilled BBQ chicken with thick cut Noon fries. Liz ordered the Shrimp Tempura and Larb Gai. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, although Noon didn’t become our favorite restaurant on Lanta by any means.

Overall, we thought the food was pretty tasty but a little overpriced. In saying that, you are paying a premium for the view as it’s one of the best sunset spots on the island.
