ZAGREB POINT APARTMENTS REVIEW
Zagreb Point Apartments consist of a collection of six different (1 bedroom / 2 bedroom) apartments located in a variety of locations in Zagreb, Croatia.
Our recent three-night stay at Zagreb Point Apartments had us settling into Apartment #4 (Da Svet Vrbik) which is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood known as Vrbik. While walking into Zagreb city center is possible from Vrbik (20-25 min), it’s much easier and far more efficient to ride the tram into the city. The tram station is located just 3 minutes walk from the doorstep of the apartment.
The kitchen was equipped with a two burner stove, microwave, tea kettle, mini-refrigerator and just about anything else you could ever need (minus an oven). If an oven is a must for you, I would look elsewhere. We didn’t mind not having an oven this time around but we usually prefer to have one in case we want to bake some tasty treats!
Overall we thought the kitchen was sort of bland and basic but at the end of the day, some people just enjoying having the ability to be able to cook on the road instead of eating out all of the time. Now a days we prefer renting apartments on the road versus hotels simply for the fact that we can cook what we want, when we want.
The dining area and the kitchen are very simply separated by a half wall in the middle of the living room. As you can tell, things are pretty squished in here with the kitchen, dining room and the living room being in one room. Again, it’s all about personal preference. We, personally, don’t need a giant apartment to run around so we didn’t mind the size of the place.
A quick spin of the camera brings you to the view of the living room seen in the photo above. The big purple couch is comfortable and the television, while small, is a good enough size if you decide to kick back and catch up on the latest news.
First and foremost, let’s talk about the extremely convenient washing machine. I don’t know about you, but we love having the ability to wash our clothes without ever having to leave the apartment.
The bathroom in Da Svet Vrbik looked as if it was newly renovated due to how clean and modern it looked in comparison to the rest of the apartment. It’s not that the rest of the apartment wasn’t clean, it’s just the bathroom really stood out to us. It’s hard to tell from the photo but the floor was covered in a dark wood, and it had a new ceramic sink, toilet and tub/shower combination.
The bedroom was small and the bed itself was pretty comfortable.
Note: The photo shown above was taken with my wide angle so it appears slightly larger than it is. There is space to walk on each side of the bed but not much room to move around. There is an attached (small) terrace that looks out over the street below but there’s not much of a view in this area of town.
If you’re the type that enjoys staying right in the city centre, then you will probably want to look elsewhere. Da Svet Vrbik apartment is located 20-25 minutes walking distance from the city center. If you’re not up for walking, hop on the tram and you will find yourself in the center of the city in just 5-7 minutes.
Note #1: There isn’t too much going on in the area of Vrbik (or at least from what we experienced). There is one really good restaurant (mentioned below), one convenience store and one small grocery store (Konzum) nearby. We found this to be a little limiting as we would hate to travel into the city center just to shop at a major grocery store. In saying that, if you just need the basic odds and ends, you should be content with what’s availble in the immediate area.
Note #2: For those of you who don’t like to cook, there’s a great restaurant just 7-8 minutes walking distance from the apartment. The name of the restaurant is Pri Zvoncu and you can find them on the web here.

If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable apartment in a quiet and relaxing location away from the city center, then Zagreb Point Apartments Da Svet Vrbik location is the perfect place for you. The owner (Svet) is a wonderful woman who is ready and willing to answer any questions you might have about the city and she will make you feel right at home. Thanks again Svet!
Overall, we would recommend you stay at Da Svet Vrbik but only if you don’t mind being located outside of the city center. Also, you must not mind that there are a lack of restaurants/grocery stores in the area. At 50-65 Euro/night, this short term apartment rental is not a bad option at all.
