Apartments Vila Marjetica

Apartments Vila Marjetica consists of four one-bedroom apartments located within five minutes walking distance of Lake Bled, a popular tourist attraction and quite honestly one of the most beautiful lakes we have ever visited on our travels.

Our recent three night stay was exceptional and while the weather wasn’t the best during our stay, the exploration that we did do had us yearning for more.

Bedroom

The bedroom was on the small side of the spectrum in comparison to other apartments that we’ve stayed at during our travels through Europe, but it was plenty big for what we needed it for.

We really enjoyed the fresh wood look to the room from the dresser to the bed and even to the linoluem floor.

The bedroom itself wasn’t anything special, but all that really mattered to us was that it was clean and comfortable, which it was.

Living Room

The living room area was incredibly spacious and included a small flat panel LCD television, a side table, a large area rug and a good sized futon that converts into an extra bed if needed.

There was also a balcony/terrace located just off the living room area that overlooked the garden below.

Kitchen

The kitchen was equipped with everything from an oven, four-burner stove top, small refrigerator, toaster, tea kettle, utensils, pots, pans, dishes, cups and more.

The only thing it was missing was a microwave and we could have really used one to heat up our leftovers after cooking.

There were some also some spices, oil, vinegar and a few other things that were provided for the guests which we thought was really convenient.

Other than the lack of a microwave, we thought the kitchen was great and we used it on several occasions during our stay.

Dining Room

The dining area was located right next to the kitchen and included a large wooden table and chairs that really matched well with the kitchen cabinets and overall decor of the apartment.

We used the dining room area as a place to eat and a place to work.

If there was one thing that this apartment wasn’t lacking it was the amount of electrical outlets availble for use. It seemed as if there was one every three feet or so.

Bathroom

The bathroom was average sized and simple with a small storage organizer on your right as soon as you walk in followed by the sink along with a very spacious, half-glass walled shower.

Fresh towels were provided along with smaller items such as a hair dryer, broom and dust pan, etc.

Location

As far as location goes, this place cannot be beat. It’s extremely easy to find, it’s located in a quiet residential neighborhood and it’s just five minutes walking distance to the edge of Lake Bled and one minute away from the nearest major grocery store, restaurants and more.

The main bus stop which links to several locations such as the main train station and other surrounding towns is located just one minute from Vila Marjetica on foot.

Issues/Concerns

We only encountered one issue during our stay and in all fairness, it’s our job to fill you guys in on the good and the bad of our stay.

• The Internet – If you’re someone who relies on and/or works on the Internet like us, you would know that having high quality, high speed Internet is an absolutel must. Over the course of our three night stay, we struggled to get a half way decent Internet connection. It was terribly slow about 95% of the time and even booted us off a few times during the stay. We spoke to the owner and he acknowledged the lack of signal in our apartment due to the router being stationed so far away.

Conclusion

Overall, we highly recommend that you book your stay at Apartments Vila Marjetica for your next visit to Lake Bled.

With it’s incredible location, clean apartments, quiet neighborhood and easy access to grocery stores, restaurants and more, there’s really no better place to stay in Bled.
