On Sunday August 26, 2012, I will be flying from Boston to Las Vegas, NV to begin a one-week, 745 mile road trip through Nevada, Utah and Arizona.

ROAD TRIP MAP

Las Vegas, NV to Phoenix, AZ via Utah!

I couldn’t be more excited to get back out to the Southwest. It’s one of my favorite places in the United State!

If I had some extra time, I would of made another trip out to Death Valley National Park. As you might remember, I spent a few days out there with my family back in 2010 and it is still one of my most memorable family trips to date. See the video from our trip here.

ROUGH ITINERARY

8/26 – 8/27: Las Vegas, NV

My one night stay in Las Vegas will be at the Stratosphere Hotel. I’ve stayed there quite a few times now and in my opinion, you simply cannot beat the deals that this hotel offers. My total cost for the night at the Stratosphere w/ taxes comes to $45.54. Many Vegas give these deals in hopes that you’ll gamble your money away once you get there but they really lose out when I come to town because I don’t spend a dime on gambing. I would rather spend my money on traveling than waste it away in a smoke filled casino.

8/27 – Bryce Canyon (Utah)

I’ll be spending one night at Ruby’s Inn in Bryce Canyon City, Utah. Although I’m only spending one night in Bryce, I plan on spending it wisely. I am going to try my best to explore as much of Bryce Canyon as possible during my short stay.

8/28 – 8/30 – Zion National Park (Utah)

I’m extremely excited to be spending two full nights at the Quality Inn at Zion National Park. I plan on venturing out on a hike or two during my stay. I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to do the popular “Angels Landing” hike while I’m out there. That is my number one priority at the moment. As always, plans could change but I’m really planning on getting this hike done while I’m out there.

8/30 – 9/1 – Sedona, Arizona

I’ll be spending two relaxing nights at the beautiful Hilton Sedona Resort. I cannot wait to really explore all that Sedona has to offer.

Years and years ago my family and I took a trip out to Arizona which included visits to Tucson, Tempe, Scottsdale, Sedona and the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We had an incredible time and to this day the number one memory from our trip was our time spent in Sedona. The Red Rock that everyone raves about cannot be justified in photos, it’s literally a place that you have to see with your own eyes.

  1. Whatever Ganj…..you should see the beautiful view of route 128 from my desk at work right now. You haven’t seen a sunrise till you catch that gorgeous glare off the fresh pavement on the 95 ramp. I know you’re jealous.

    Enjoy, man.
